Internship Overview:
Each intern is presented with a real business challenge within their group that provides the opportunity to exchange ideas with subject matter experts for optimal learning and development that leads to real solutions.
Your Role:
- (This position will sit at the Dallas,TX Corporate office.)
- Compile documents and integrate them into the environmental management system for all facilities in order to align with ISO environmental and sustainability standards.
- Support in organizing site-specific physical and electronic environmental and sustainability documentation.
- Support in creation of Microsoft excel sheets and word documents for environmental programs across all facilities.
- Assist in other areas of environmental and sustainability as needed by the department director.
- The objective is to expand and implement Dal-Tile’s environmental management system, optimizing performance and organization across all US facilities in regard to environmental/sustainability programs and projects. The intern will collaborate closely with the corporate EHS engineer and minor collaboration with facility EHS managers to achieve project goals. Expected completion is within 8-12 weeks.
Qualifications:
Seeking a junior to senior level student majoring in environmental science, environmental engineering, or other related scientific fields.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat is required.
Strong organizational and communication skills are essential
Position requires unrestricted work authorization in the United States; work/visa sponsorship for this position is not available.
Hours/Schedule:
Onsite Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm
Internship dates: May 20th to Aug 16th 2024
Internship Expo date: August 16th, 2024, must be present for Expo date
