The Financial Analyst will be responsible for partnering with Technology and Finance to support the Technology planning process, to perform investment analyses, and to support the Technology business management team. They will be required to work with various teams across Technology and Finance to assist in identifying and measuring benefits and costs for Technology investments. The financial analyst will play a critical role supporting business needs for decision support, planning, and investment analysis.
The position requires strong problem solving, conceptual thinking, and oral and written communication skills. Flexibility, perseverance, and comfort with ambiguity are requirements for success in this role.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Technology Planning/Valuations:

Serve as Finance liaison for Product/Portfolio teams in Technology to assist in determining the operational and financial benefits of the work. Partner with cross-functional Finance teams to validate the financial benefits.

Partner with Technology, Business Partners, and Finance to measure operational and financial impacts of the completed work. Effectively communicate measurement and update results in the Quarterly Technology reporting.
Technology Investment ROI’s:

Support the Technology leadership team with financial analysis of Technology investments. Responsible for ensuring the accounting recognition of the investment and the associated financial/operational benefit. Partner with Technology, Business Partners, and Finance to align on financial and operational benefits.

Perform hindsight analysis to measure the performance of Technology investments. Identify opportunities to improve initial investment estimates to ensure investments are being made appropriately.
Support Technology Business Management (TBM):

Ongoing support of the TBM system to help with decision making and Technology planning. Partner with the Technology teams and TBM to align on financials and reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related business field

One to three years experience with one year of specific experience supporting: expense planning, capital planning, forecasting and/or investment analysis

Experience in retail, consumer products, apparel, or other customer-focused industries a plus

Requires focus amid rapidly shifting priorities, attention to detail, independent problem solving and adherence to tight deadlines when required

Self-starter who can excel in a fast-paced and fluid environment
