CCA Marketing is seeking a highly-skilled and data-driven Data Analyst Intern to collect, manage, and analyze data. Using datasets provided by Marketing, or working with other data owners within CCA, this role will synthesize data from disparate sources to help Marketing define trends and assess performance of campaigns and/or tactics. They will create reports to show their findings to relevant executives, stakeholders, and managers. They may also recommend actions based on findings/results. This role will work closely with other members of the Marketing team to understand the department’s data needs, identify sources of data within CCA, and get us on a path to have an attribution model.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Collaborate with Marketing team to understand their data needs and provide solutions.
- Collect and analyze data from various systems, such as Salesforce, WordPress, Google Analytics, Email/SMS Distribution Platform, and Meta Business Suite
- Evaluate effectiveness and profitability of campaigns and promotions and suggest methods to strengthen pipeline generation velocity.
- Examine statistical data to forecast future trends, project market potential, and develop marketing strategies.
- Provide market intelligence and statistics to internal partners aligned with business objectives to develop actionable recommendations and forecasting models.
- Prepare and present reports on marketing metrics to senior management.
- Maintain a current knowledge of emerging tools and techniques in machine learning, natural language processing, database systems, visualization, statistical modeling, data extraction/manipulation and so on
Additional Information
Remote position
All internships will be paid standard and competitive rates for undergraduate and graduate levels ($23 and $25 per hour respectively). Internships are expected to be full-time through the duration of the program.
What We’re Looking For:
Required:
- Undergraduate student currently enrolled or a recent graduate within the last 2 years
OR
- Graduate student currently enrolled or a recent graduate within the last 2 years
- Some experience with case studies, return on investment analysis, or trend analyses
Technical skills:
- Relational databases and SQL
- Expertise with data visualization and tools
- Microsoft Excel (power user)
- Strong analytical mindset
Soft skills:
- Be organized and flexible
- Take initiative to own projects
- Be able to work with interdisciplinary teams
- Be able to explain technical concepts/results to non-technical audiences
- Passion for creating work that is well-documented and reproducible
- Ability to work with short iteration times in agile mode as well as the ability to carry out projects in a self-directed manner
Desired:
- Study in Finance, Statistics or other data-heavy courses
- Extensive project work in analytics, data science or related field
Technical skills:
- Understanding of SaaS platforms such as Marketing Automation (Marketo, Pardot, Eloqua), Sales Engagement (Salesforce, Salesloft, Xant), Digital (Google Analytics, Pathfactory), and Attribution (Full Circle Insights)
- Experience with applied statistics.
- Willingness to learn innovative technologies.
- Experience with cloud data warehouses and cloud provider services (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Ability to develop competence in any programming, tool, or technology, that a problem requires
