Operating out of Milan since 1986 and Rome since 2001, Boston Consulting Group’s Italian team today consists of 500+ employees. Most of the employees specialise in strategy and management services (around 300 according to BCG’s own website), but over the years Boston Consulting Group has diversified its offerings in the country with the launches of subsidiaries BCG Platinion (IT implementation) and BCG Gamma (artificial intelligence). Now joining the fold is Inverto, the firm’s procurement and supply chain consulting wing. The launch continues Inverto’s growing footprint across Europe. Founded in Germany, and rapidly expanding into Austria, Inverto more recently expanded into the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and France. Italy bring Inverto’s presence in Europe to eight countries, the consultancy meanwhile also has one operation in Asia.
