Some regional Federal Reserve officials are working to recalibrate expectations of what the U.S. central bank might do when it comes to climate change issues.
Three officials this week spoke about the Fed’s role on climate in terms of bank oversight and economic research, rather than monetary policy, which the central bank uses to achieve price stability and maximum sustainable job growth.
