What is Badging?
Badging 101
The Career Design Lab is launching a digital badging system based on NACE’s Career-Readiness Competencies to help you track and showcase essential workplace skills like communication, leadership, and critical thinking. These badges will highlight your progress in developing the key competencies that employers value, offering a clear way to demonstrate your readiness for career success.
How can badging help with my job/internship search? Microcredentials demonstrate your mastery of specialized skills that otherwise may not be visible on your resume or LinkedIn. In particular, NACE’s Career-Readiness Competencies reflect key skills and frameworks that recruiters use for hiring. By displaying these competencies through badges, you can gain a competitive edge over other applicants.
How can I earn badges? Each badge has several prerequisites, including specific event attendance and professional accomplishments. Please see below for how to earn your badges.
