Think-Cell for Data Visualization
SPS has partnered with vendor Think-Cell to provide SPS students with a powerful data visualization tool, think-cell.
For the duration of their program, all SPS students will have full access to this product, which can help you create compelling charts in minutes, boost your slide layout, and automate your regular reports. This is accomplished via a single PowerPoint add-on. Since you will be working with lots of data and need to create persuasive and effective visuals, hopefully, this tool will allow you to strengthen your presentations.
Think-Cell is only to be used for academic and nonprofit use by current Columbia SPS students. People who are no longer enrolled as SPS students or intend to use the software for non-educational uses will need to obtain a separate license agreement.
To get started, go to the think-cell Academic page.
- Enter your UNI email in the field to the left of the “Free student license” button
- Enter your CU email address
- Click on the “Free student license” button
- Check your email and follow the instructions provided by the system-generated email to access your free student license
- Once you are prompted to download the software, you will need to enter the following institutional key for basic access to this software, free to Columbia University students: D2QVF-GP9GF-EDZPP-RF3CT-B7YMD (this key is valid until September 30, 2025).
