As a Project Financial Analyst, I am part of the project management team at Siemens. My main focus is on project financial analysis, which includes forecasting and trend analysis, end-of-month closure, risk management, and warranty/project closure. Additionally, I also get involved in managing the project throughout the project life cycle and managing the contract, risk & opportunity, and claims. I am able to collaborate with other teams such as the engineering, procurement, logistics, manufacturing, customer service, accounting, and legal teams.

During the whole job search process, I learned that effective communication with the hiring manager was very important. Relating the job description to my own skills and experience led me to have conversations that resulted in positive outcomes. Additionally, the research about the company and the team (including the hiring manager) was a must do, which showed during the interview. The preparation helped build my confidence, which made the whole process very smooth! I would like to give a huge thank you to my Career Design Lab Career Coach! She was super supportive and whenever I had questions or concerns, she always talked me through and we strategized together. I felt so much better every time after our talks.
