Professional Associations

The American Risk and Insurance Association (ARIA), founded in 1932, supports and educates professionals, scholars, and students in the insurance and risk management industry. ARIA creates opportunities to share and discuss high-quality research, recognizing scholars from diverse backgrounds engaged in open collaboration to strengthen the industry and society. 

  • Professional Development: ARIA offers grants to support research conferences and professional development workshops, promoting the dissemination of knowledge in risk management and insurance, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Community & Networking: ARIA provides membership opportunities for professionals, academics, and students, creating a community dedicated to the study of risk and insurance. Also they host Annual Meetings providing a platform for presenting research and networking with industry leaders. 
  • Education & Research: ARIA publishes two premier journals: the Journal of Risk and Insurance and the Risk Management and Insurance Review, which feature research on insurance economics and risk management. These journals are key resources for staying informed on the latest research in the industry.

ARIA is committed to driving excellence in risk management and insurance education, fostering collaboration, and supporting the continued development of professionals in the field.
