Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Data Associate.
The Research Data Associate (RDA) will work collaboratively with the Research Project Manager (RPM), Research Coordinators (RC), the Principal Investigator (PI), and the study team on medication oriented
and behavioral clinical research trials at the Center for Psychedelic Medicine. The RDA will work under the guidance of RCs and RPM with the team to support them in the initiation and
coordination of research activities in the most optimal fashion. The RDA will work with the lead RCs and other study team members to ensure the accurate execution of research protocols in accordance with
Good Clinical Practices, HIPPA, and required obligations to subjects, Principal Investigator, research team, and sponsor. The RDA will have direct interface with study participants and act as a liaison with
several internal parties at NYU Langone Health that may include: CTSI, CBRD, Pharmacy, Clinical Information Systems, Regulatory Services including the IRB, and other NYU cores as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
Participant Recruitment: Recruits and screens candidates for eligibility, completing necessary
questionnaires, assessments and data entry. Maintains patient confidentiality.
Research Visits: Conduct participant study visits, which includes scheduling, conducting informed
consent, coordinating with other study team members, completing and administering assessments and
other study procedures at baseline and follow-up visits, and coordinating subject reimbursement.
Participant Tracking: Track participant flow through the study; update tracking logs in an accurate
and timely manner; follow up with participants as needed.
Data Collection: Enter and document all data accurately and according to the protocol. Review
inputted data; resolve all data queries; obtain missing data; maintain all study-related databases.
Reporting and Communication: Communicates with the RCs, RPM, and PI in a timely manner
regarding protocol deviations, safety events, data queries, and study supplies. Shares status of
assignments and follow-up of action items at team meetings.
Protocol Compliance: Ensure that study activities are carried out in accordance with the protocol,
HIPAA and GCP, including but not limited to participant research visits, follow-up, and required
documentation. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of study rationale, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and
procedures associated with the study.
Other: Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have an Associate’s degree plus one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literate with good interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in science, public health, health education or a related field. Prior experience in a health care settings and/or research level interviews
Prior patient education experience
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $51,243.96 – $51,243.96 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
