NYC Service is seeking a Public-Private Partnerships Fall Intern to support the implementation of the
team’s corporate service efforts, particularly as they relate to three key projects/initiatives.

service, build volunteer capacity, and mobilize the power of volunteers and national service members
to impact New York City’s greatest needs.
About the Role:
The Public-Private Partnerships Intern will report to the Corporate Partnerships Coordinator and work
closely with the Public-Private Partnerships Team to support the implementation of the team’s
corporate service efforts, particularly as they relate to three key projects/initiatives: (1) NYC
Corporate Volunteer Council, (2) Good for Me. Good for My City. Campaign, and (3) Mayoral Service
Recognition Awards & Event. The intern will also support with fundraising and database
management, as well as assist with other NYC Service administrative tasks, as needed. The Public-
Private Partnerships Intern may also be asked to staff special projects, events, and days of service
during their internship.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Mayoral Service Recognition Awards
o Pre-screen/review award applications
o Support circulation of awards materials to selection committees
o Assist with drafting award notification emails and other reminders
o Collect information on awardees to help create social media/comms material
Support Public/Private Partnerships events (NYC CVC, Good for Me. Good for My City. Events,
Mayoral Service Recognition Event)
o Provide logistical support, including helping to run day of virtual events, checking
attendance and RSVPs, managing questions and answers, providing technical
o Assist in event planning and pre-event communications including helping to create
agenda, run of shows, follow-up, marketing material, speaker invitations, sign-up pages,
and social media content
o Assisting in developing PowerPoint presentations and one pagers as needed

Support Fundraising Efforts
o Collect information and data from program teams
o Take notes during fundraising meetings
o Research prospective funders and/or collect information on requests for proposals
o Provide support with writing and editing Case Statements, proposals, and grant reports for
NYC Service programs
Maintain and update all team trackers and databases
o Update Salesforce database to reflect the most up to date contacts and interactions
• Educational requirements (if applicable)
• Years of experience in field
• Other relevant skills (communication skills, ability to work in multicultural environment,
• College Student candidates must be an enrolled and registered student accumulating credits.
Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school. Employment is conditioned upon
continuance as a student in a college or graduate school.
Undergraduate College Students: $15.75 per hour
Graduate Students: $17 per hour
