Who We Are
Kwenda Collegiate Girls is a public, tuition-free, feminist K-8 girls’ school that reimagines public education with girls and gender non-conforming youth at the center.
Our school was born out of two values – love and liberation for BIPOC girl-identifying and young women (inclusive of trans and gender non-conforming youth). We believe our kids deserve safe spaces of affirmation, rigor, and healing – that raise them up to be autonomous decision-makers in their own lives.
We are a slow growth school opening our doors in Brooklyn, NY in Fall 2025 to students in kindergarten and first grade.
Where You’ll Come In
Kwenda Collegiate Girls is seeking a founding Family & Community Operations Associate. This position would be full-time and report to the school’s Associate Director, Operations. At Kwenda Collegiate Girls, our commitment to operational excellence is not just about exceptionally designed spreadsheets and trackers (although we can talk trackers for days!). For us operational excellence is an expression of love. Our team believes that all students, regardless of background, deserve to learn in beautiful, efficient, world-class facilities where they can focus on learning and educators can focus on teaching. None of this is possible without a world-class Operations team.
As the Family & Community Operations Associate, you’ll be a vital member of such a world-class Operations team. You’ll be the friendly face that greets our families, the warm voice on the phone, and the organizational wizard behind our smooth operations. Before our grand opening in Fall 2025, you’ll be our community-building superstar, and once we’re up and running, you’ll be an important part of the operational glue that holds everything together.
