Position works in the Environmental Stewardship organization, a subset of the Enterprise Sustainability organization at Client headquarters in New Brunswick, NJ. The Environmental Stewardship organization is responsible for managing the energy used and greenhouse gas emissions created by operations worldwide. The group manages public sustainability goals related to reducing CO2 emissions, increasing the use of renewable energy, and mitigating water risks at our facilities. The group works with the engineering team to create, deploy, and manage energy and water reduction programs that can be applied at client’s facilities to meet our goals and reduce our impact on the environment.
Position works with the objective of administering energy and climate change data management for Client operating companies worldwide. Position involves energy data collection and document management, reporting, and communication with both domestic and international partners. Sound background in Engineering, Energy/Sustainability, or Environmental Science, coupled with strong communication and data analysis skills, are required. Experience with Microsoft Office products including strong Microsoft Excel and data management skills are required.
The ideal candidate for this position has a highly analytical mindset with a focused attention to detail, coupled with the ability to view issues at the macro level. Candidate must be able to troubleshoot and work independently and must be able to communicate with global team members to complete tasks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or other sciences preferred.
• Entry-level, 1-2 years’ work experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required, strong competency in Excel required.
• Strong data management skills required.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Familiarity with environmental sustainability disciplines (carbon/GHG emissions, water, waste, forestry) preferred.
• Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau preferred.
• Meticulous attention to detail and solid work ethic.
• Ability to work independently required.
