Job Overview
Right from the start, you will have exposure to the fundamentals of banking, positions and departments to establish a core understanding of banking. You will engage in project based work and networking opportunities while receiving guidance from your leader. You will develop professional and interpersonal skills that will be invaluable throughout your career.
The data science intern will provide support to the business intelligence team as they provide expert analysis and support for corporate priority projects related to efficiency, reporting, documentation and process improvements. This year round internship is in-person at our Michigan City, Indiana location for 10-20 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 during the summer. This internship is available beginning in January 2025.
Duties
- Review, analyze and update lists for various departments.
- Collaborate with retail and commercial departments to build and update dashboards.
- Perform all work in compliance with established regulations, policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and instructions.
- Complete required training associated with job function.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree with major or minor in: finance, data science, statistics, or a related field.
- Must be a sophomore or junior at the start of the internship.
- Experience required in Tableau or Power BI, SQL, and Excel.

Physical Requirements
Represent the Bank to both internal and external customers in a courteous, professional manner in face-to-face, written and telephone communications.
