Manager of Finance – Business Evaluation
Provide direction to the division finance and operation teams regarding decision support for new business and reinvestment opportunities. Primary responsibilities will include preparing methodologies/costings and schedules to advise management of the viability of investments. The Manager of Finance will oversee the processes from request for proposal to final methodology/costing and contract review. Perform the regular review of methodology to actual performance with a post contract review of financial and KPI outcomes. Oversee methodology training and updating of benchmarks as appropriate.
In addition, develop and support operational dashboard and data visualization tools for internal review of operational/financial performance, and external presentation to clients. Partner with and educate financial analyst co-workers on the use of these tools.
Perform the preparation of methodology/costing and IRR analysis for new and existing business for all sector business less than $20M in annual revenue.
Analyze financial performance against methodologies and document pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against methodology documents.
Provide leadership and direction including KPI definition and measurement to any personnel.
Develop and support dashboards and data visualizations to analyze existing business.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Data Analytics Required, MBA or CPA preferred
Five plus years of experience in a similar position and experience with operations preferred.
Work well with people, aggressively anticipate impacts of workload/issues to team deadlines and have a very positive work attitude including willing to work some longer hours during peak periods.
Able to informally direct and lead a team both onsite and remote; prior management experience preferred. Position currently has no direct reports, but future growth is a possibility.
Strong experience in profit & loss and income statement analysis.
Advanced Excel skills, ability to work with lookups and pivot tables.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Experience with SAP or equivalent, Qlikview/Qlik Sense and Business Intelligence, a plus.
