Who We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a dedicated and highly organized Senior Project Manager to manage the implementation of related technical training (RTI) for high school students in our registered apprenticeship program (RAP). This role requires someone who is comfortable with change and ambiguity, skilled in managing multiple projects, and able to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be passionate about workforce development and education, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Training and Credentialing, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation, coordination, and documentation of CWNY’s RTI training for high school students enrolled in the RAP. This role will collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of the program. The Senior Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for the New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) and related partners, including CareerWise USA, ensuring the proper administration and compliance of RAP.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including government officials, employers, training providers, and facilitators.
- Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and manage communication to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
- RAP Program Administration
- Administer the RAP program, overseeing onboarding of employers and apprentices.
- Ensure completion of all required documentation, record-keeping, compliance checks, and liaising with NYSDOL and the US Department of Labor in collaboration with CareerWise USA.
- Data Management & Reporting
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather the necessary RAP data and support apprentices as they progress through the program.
- Track and report on apprentice training data, including pre and post assessments, attendance, completion of End Point Assessments (EPA), and produce outcome reports for employers.
- Ensure all training data is accurately recorded in Salesforce.
- Project Management of RTI Solutions
- Manage the planning and execution of RTI solutions for high school apprentices, including coordinating End Point Assessments (EPA).
- Lead planning meetings with staff, training providers, and facilitators to ensure efficient execution of the program.
- Vendor Management & Logistics
- Source, develop, and manage the training vendor database, including registration with NYSDOL.
- Handle all logistical aspects of virtual and in-person apprentice training activities, ensuring smooth operations.
- Provide support to vendors and teachers, including executing consultant contracts, conducting orientations, and ensuring timely payments.
- Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Coordinate the collection and deployment of pre- and post-training assessments for apprentices to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Ensure continuous improvement of the program by gathering feedback and making necessary adjustments to training processes.
Key competencies to be successful in this role:

- Communication & Documentation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and report clearly to various stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy in tracking data, maintaining records, and completing documentation.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and able to adjust to changing circumstances.
Additional proficiencies:
- 3+ years of experience in fields such as education, human resources, training and development, workforce development, or compliance.
- 2+ years of project management experience, including developing timelines and coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and project management software (e.g., Monday.com).
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
- Knowledge of NYSDOL Registered Apprenticeship Program requirements is highly desirable.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

Location:
This role is based in New York, NY. CareerWise staff typically work a hybrid work schedule with Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the office and other days remote. Remote work is not guaranteed and the schedule must be approved by the supervisor. There may be occasions (possibly 1-3 times per year) for staff to gather together in person. Exceptions will be made for special circumstances.
Compensation:
The starting salary range for this role is: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 annually; this role is not covered by the minimum wage and overtime provisions of the FLSA.
